PressureWise Privacy Policy

Who provides PressureWise?

PressureWise is provided by Bellbird Hollow Studios. For privacy questions or complaints, contact info@bellbirdhollow.com.

This policy covers the PressureWise Android app.

Your diary

The app stores the readings you save: systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse, date and time, optional notes, an entry identifier and whether the reading came from manual or image input. It also stores your reading-guide preference.

These are kept in the app’s private storage on your device. There is no PressureWise account, developer-operated cloud backup or diary server. We do not receive, sell or use your readings or photos for advertising or AI training.

Photos and image input

The app reads an image you select or a photo you take, to suggest numbers for you to check. Recognition happens on your device using bundled software, including Google ML Kit. The image and recognised text are not sent to us or to Google for recognition.

PressureWise does not attach the image to the saved reading. Photos taken through the app are not deliberately added to your gallery; temporary camera files may remain in the app’s cache until removed by the app or Android. Existing images in your gallery are unchanged.

Photo and image input is experimental. Check every number and the date and time against your monitor before saving.

Google’s technical information

Google ML Kit sends technical information to Google for diagnostics, usage analysis and maintaining its recognition software. This includes device model and operating system, app package and version, an installation identifier, performance and error information, and recognition settings such as image format, dimensions and input/output sizes. It does not include your image contents or recognised readings.

Google processes this technical information under its Privacy Policy. See also Google’s ML Kit privacy information and technical data disclosure. Google’s services may process information outside Australia. There is no separate PressureWise analytics service or advertising SDK in this version.

Backups and exports

JSON backups and CSV exports are created on your device. Android’s document picker lets you choose the destination, which may be local storage or a cloud service you use. If you choose a cloud destination or share the file, that provider or recipient receives its contents.

Export files contain readable health information and are not password protected or encrypted by PressureWise. Keep them somewhere private. The app is configured to exclude its private data from Android’s automatic backup and device-transfer systems; use Save Backup to keep your own copy.

Keeping, correcting and deleting information

Saved readings remain until you delete them in History or remove the app’s data. You can edit a reading in History and export your records from Download Your Info. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove the diary. We cannot recover it for you.

Deleting a reading or the app does not delete copies you previously exported, shared, or kept in your gallery. Delete those separately where you saved them. Protect your phone with a screen lock; PressureWise does not add its own app lock or separate encryption for saved readings.

If you contact us

For privacy questions or complaints, contact info@bellbirdhollow.com. Please do not email medical records or photos.

We use messages to answer enquiries and investigate complaints, and keep them only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or legal obligations. Our email is handled through Google, which may store messages outside Australia.

You can ask us to delete personal information you have emailed us.

Changes

We will update this policy when the app’s information practices change. Advertising or optional photo collection would require updated disclosures and any required consent before those features are introduced. Neither is included in this version.
